I've found some M8 style boxes on alibaba (Ali express) with Linux based xbmc which work out to about £35ish.
Staples got deals on the 7 and 10 inch linx tablets the 7 inch works out at 20 quid after cash back

They've sold out of the 10 inch. Apparently if you buy one from any number of retailers you can trade an old tablet at tablet trade up and get up to £50 back.

I've picked out two similar ones on aliexpress for the same money and am waiting for a post office credit card to order them with - no charge for foreign currency. In my experience the China shipping takes a few weeks, any other method incurs import duty which is usually small compared with the duty paying charge of the shipping company.

The M8 is very good. There was a similar supplier to droidsticks selling them for £60 in an Amazon Lightning deal yesterday.

ive had both and would definately rate the m8 higher

the droidsticks setup is superb, albeit a little bloated

everything just works on the m8, and you get a lifetime of fixes and updates via their wizard

also the remote with the cheaper box is dire

I must admit I like the M8 from droidsticks but how do you update the wizard or am I being silly?

Read their RSS feed and follow them on Twitter, they will say when you need to run the wizard again in the future.
