Anyone can install the xbmc application. then the next level would be to learn how to install the various add-ons (via repos so that they auto-update) but the hardest part is keeping up with the movement. Add-ons stop working, new ones come out by various authors from various online communities (the two main ones are tvaddons and xunity). However Droidsticks handle the update part for you. Their wizard is available for everyone who purchases one of their boxes and when you execute is it removes the deadwood and adds the latest working add-ons. And to top it all off at the moment Droidsticks seem to have a partnership going on with a sports provider called HQZone, everyone with a Droidsticks box gets access to HQZone premium sports through their box; this is basically access to live sports such as EPL including 3pm kick offs. Droidsticks have not confirmed how long this partnership will last though, it could end at any time.

i have my droidsticks box coming tommrow hopefully and im getting moist thinking about it, may take you up on the help mate

@rookie I hope you're not asking for help getting moist cos I can't help you with that!!! however if it's to do with the Droidsticks box then it comes with instructions. Which did you go for, M8/T8/fireTV?

@trueblue924 - this is exactly my forte. Even though I have a Droidsticks box myself and fully recommend them, I've set up LOADS of boxes myself with the majority being the fireTV. If you're on facebook there's a a group which is unbelievable useful, it's called 'Amazon Fire TV UK'. Join that group if you can, also feel free to message me with any questions, I'm happy to help. By the way, as a starting point you want to install SPMC 13.4.0 rather than XBMC on your fireTV. SPMC is better for android devices than XBMC in my opinion, and it is in fact.

My Revo is notoriously awful steaming HD mate- dunno why and to be honest I ain't spent much time looking into it! My laptop is fine at it so for the sake of 100 notes and the chance of a new toy to play with I've taken the plunge! Expect my Revo to be in BST soon!! Lol

All I would say is to use KodiBuntu on the Revo rather then window+kodi etc. Ive stuck an SSD in mine, it boots straight to Kodi in seconds, and its working really well, with the exception of the remote which sometimes becomes laggy for some reason and i have to do a reboot.

Just to give my views on XBMC boxes here. I bought Amazon Fire TV and installed XBMC on it. Works very, very well!!
Sadly the Amazon Plex App is utter shite in my opinion.

I did buy the box for an all in one solution, but it's all XBMC and Netflix. No need for a fancy remote so far. The Amazon one works well.

Great box. My Roku 3 is still a great box though, esp for Plex.

    Horses for courses i guess.

I bough a FireTV installed XBMC/Kodi using the TVMC flavour.

I'm impressed with the device, I upgraded from Apple TV2 and the extra power really does help.

Nice kit for the price, is Droidsticks login worth the price?

    Whoops
