help needed buying XBMC box

realised it was my internet. gonna have more of a play later. managed to find a bt sport stream. im sure this droidsticks is good but i need to get to grips with xbmc first

stick with it...in a few weeks you will have sussed out how it works...you can rearrange the skin to meet your needs

i keep mine simple...Genisis and Phoenix for all my film and tv needs, and a pay a sub for Offside Streams for my hd sport

it can be frustrating at first but you will get there in the end, the more you read up on it and fart about, the more you will learn

with the learning curve and a bit of patience, it wont be long until you have it running flawlessly

you can change the settings in Genesis so that it will only use specific sources of your choice to find movie links

goto videos/addons/right click on genesis/addon settings/scroll to movie.....

then select or deselect the sources you need

i find these are the best

select

Icefilms
Primewire
Muchmovies
Vkbox
Noobroom

deselect

all others

scroll down and select 'ok'

now, when Genesis is searching for links, it will only use the selected sources above...reliable hd with no entering txt etc

any good links for tv channels ie mtv etc not really after sports stuff. there are a few bits installed but im a bit lost. wood u say navi x is best for tv

istream, icefilms, genesis, phoenix

all good for tv shows/latest/box sets

for live tv shows, read up on xbmc live tv/iptv

there is some good stuff in the vip area regarging this

Sold my OUYA just due to poor wifi, and bought a T8 today from droidstick at 10 and shipped with tracking number by 13:30!

Ive heard they are using fixed ip to log access to the update wizard. Crappy if you need to reboot your router as they will ban you after 2 attempts to access your update your box. If only they were smart enough to allow access for part ip/host addresses.

Their support is meant to be very good over phone also so I shall call and complain [emoji23] I'm pretty good with android I just want that box but just good with added HQ zone added in cost

i bought one on sunday so im interested how it goes. I tweeted them and they asked me to email them direct. Didnt look like they wanted the advert for the issue. Theres a thread over on t£chkings about it atm.

Its my 1st time with a dedicated box tbh. Ive got fibre being installed in just over a week so we will see what i can get on it.

I think the phone support is about £1.50 a minute. Also for anyone's information HQ Zone is down for about a week while they sort some issues out.
