    Advice company car tax

    All

any ideas the best way of seeking advise on this?

I ideally want to compare what I currently have to having a new one car, but the paperwork I read through is just jargon, ideally want a comparison calculator, any ideas best way as I am little thick with numbers :-)

    thanks all

pm me your email addy will throw you over the calc I have made will work out all yr shit
Will just need to alter company contributions if any and cost for insurance if you have to pay
    Works out taxable benefit etc
We pay 10% of annual salary toward lease cars but you should be able to customize to what you need

Current Car list price inc options £
Current Car co2 - find it in the 2014/15 table here which gives the %
one * other gives you the base benefit in kind
Tax is either 20% or 40% of that figure depending on your income level

Do the same for the new car and compare the difference.

Each manufacturer has a section on their website that allow you to choose a model and compare the BIK rating (Benefit in Kind) which is normally under company driver section. Then if you have fuel this is included on HMRC Calc. I would suggest that you look at HMRCs website to verify the BIK weighting, however you will need the RRP and Co2 figurers.
