As said Yes did get a hiding.....My area was one of the few to vote Yes. The people have spoken in huge numbers percentage wise which is great to see. Roll on more powers to ALL the UK including England who I am sure feel a little "what about us" this morning......Keep pushing and voting and we may all get some more crumbs from our masters.

Forgot to add....as far as Scotland is concerned I really think the only way the Labour party will get their vote share back is to have a break in their policies....Some directed at south of the border and some directed north.....Otherwise they are stuffed for a generation IMHO.

It's a shame really, I think Scottish independence would of really shook up the Eton boys in Westminster. I feel now they will just weather the storm and wait for the status quo to return. I guess it's now up to UKIP to break the big three's strangle hold and by doing so, cause change.

At least Dundee can walk proud along with Glasgow.

Great mental strength, in face of all the media outlets against it, most of big business all playing the fear factor again.
They did amazing to get to 45%

Still try , try , again as Bruce said.

read the comments at the bottom of the article.

Well done fellow forum members for voting YES

I far from a legitimate, fair, and honest election.

Very good reading if you like reading propaganda bitter tosh. If Salmond had won it wouldn't have even been written. Comparing it to the Ukraine and Russia is utter bollox. Ukraine was already seperate from Russia.

I think as hard as some may find it they should try and move on, the yes vote lost by nearly 400,000 votes so would have lost no matter what you weren't going to swing that many people to yes and as it was a democratic vote it's pointless a vocal minority moaning now.

I feel sick every time we vote in a Tory government and unlike this vote not every vote counts, this was probably the best chance you will have to get a yes vote and if you get another in say 10 or 20 years the vote will be based on 10 or 20 years less oil revenue so much more of a gamble, I am sure if I was Scottish I would have voted yes and also been gutted at a no vote but accepted I was in a minority.

Salmond was certainly right about one thing you did indeed get to keep the pound

    Thanks to Bald Bouncer
