Default Data recovery from corrupt 32GB Micro SD

    Any help here guys?

Been running a Scandisk 32GB in my S4 Mini Android for a while.

All of a sudden phone started saying "memory card dismounted" etc and then eventually memory card removed. Now the S4 doesn't recognise it at all.

When I take it out and put it into an SD adapter and put it into my Laptop, I hear windows beep to notice it, nothing comes up on My Computer as a driver and then the windows beeps again like I've disconnected it.

Any help at all, got some decent photos of my nephew I'd love to rescue.

I won't go into the data recovery, there's better educated than I on that.
But do keep trying with it in the phone. Happened to me with my S3 and eventually it recognised it. Can you try another phone?
Pain in the arse isn't it.

No Dropbox/Google Drive/Google Auto Backup/Sky Drive account associated to your phone for Camera upload. Thought that was standard practice these days.

Clean the contacts of the SD Card and hope it springs to life or ...

You will need Windows to recognise the Card for this step to work. Check it appears in Device Manager and follow this guide with Free Software.

I don't use any cloud upload, as I hate that stuff usually. I normally manually back up my SDs a few times a year.

Presume as this isn't in DM it's not recognised?

Just as an update, I put it back in the S4 and after a few hours I managed to catch it "Preparing SD card" it loaded circa 3000 images into the gallery. I chosen the ones I wanted of my nephew etc and managed to copy them over before it went and dismounted again.

As such I saved the pictures.

I'm not stuck with this 32GB Micro SD the Laptop doesn't recognise, is there anything I can do to force format it or anything? Or is worth throwing in the bin now?

Take a look at this? For the price of a stamp, you should get a replacement depending on how long you've had it.
32GB I should guess not longer than 5 years?

Give 'em a call tomorrow (or email them - support@SanDisk.com), I would, they are usually very helpful. 0203 3183 965
