Plex Help
I've recently started using plex with my pc as a server and the plex client on Xbox 1. All my media is on a Synology NAS. I can watch tv shows without problem (All downloaded as 720p MKV) but when I try to watch movies 1080p freezes after about 10 mins and 720p keeps freezing and unfreezing.
anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

Usually its the information from an MKV contains DTS 5.1 and the streaming is trying to change it to Stereo on-the-fly and is probably killing your Synology's CPU with the transcoding.
You can play with the transcoding settings in the PMS Server Manager until you get the settings correct.

I really struggled with my synology NAS to get Plex working. In fact it wouldn't work with it, I had DS 212J.
Which model do you have?
the 1** and 2** series don't have enoough cpu power to transcode. The bigger models do though.
