Super Mario Galaxy 2 now available for Wii U (half price until 22/1)

I didn't play many Wii games right through but SMG 1 was one of them.

They have just released SMG2 for Wii U at £8.99 (usual price £17.99)

There are a few other games on the way too, like metroid etc.

I'm a bit disappointed that you still have to use a wiimote and nunchuck but it does work for play on the game pad.

At 18 quid its a bargain, fantastic game even if your not a massive fan.

I'm guessing this is just the Wii version to download though? Not a dedicated WiiU version (1080pee please!)

Just read that Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid Prime Trilogy and Donkey Kong Country Returns will also be available at the special offer price but only for the first week of release, then they will return to the still bargain price of 18quid.

Yea, I'll be grabbing metroid for sure as I played one of them but don't remember which. Still undecided on smg2, I know it's a great game I just wish they had remapped controls for the gamepad

theres no remapping as its nothing more than the wii .iso made available for download which then boots under vWii, the game appears in your WiiU menu but its basically a shortcut to the old wiimode.

Not that that's a real excuse.

You can play with wii remote , nothing better than shaking the controller and watching the Mario shoot thorough the stars .

I know the controls I have played it before. I think I bought it for my brother when it was new. It would have been nice to have the option to play completely on the game pad that's all
