holiday help required

Guys

I'm in need of assistance / recommendations.

I want to go away with the missus and youngest (he's 12) and the dog.
somewhere in the UK which is obviously dog friendly and offers more than just miles of open walking to do.

somewhere where there are things to do and see within a reasonable distance, activities and such.

not bothered where.

Mate we went to Ribby Hall last year just outside blackpool.
Loads of people slate it but we had a great time. There was 7 adults and 5 kids split between 2 pine log cabins with ages from 18 months to 14 year and they had a ball.
There is loads to do like archery, boating, horse riding, Segway rally and of course plenty of walking.

It's just far enough away from Blackpool and Manchester but not too far.

We went for a week to the New Forest, stayed in a cottage in the forest which was amazing and there is loads to do including some great beaches if the weather is kind.

love the new forest, when the weathers good there is so much to see and do

How about somewhere in Cornwall. Depending on where you go theres lots to do and see.

Just come back from HERE pet friendly and a fantastic locations for walks etc.
