Default 2nd attempt at In Car Long Exposure shots

So, another drive home from work and another set of shots. This time, the camera was lowered down to be more in line with the tops of the seats (Below headrest)

Exposure locked at F/13, ISO 200 and 10 second exposures. Interior looks better, sharper and not as much bloom on the dash lights. There does however appear to have been a lot more camera shake introduced. Surprised the interior is as sharp as it is, as I noticed the camera vibrating quite a lot. Zooming in on the RAWs, there is evidence of shake and you can see it a touch in these jpegs but the vibration has been exaggerated with the detail further away.

Next thing to do is to reduce the vibration. Think I'll give it a go with my 15-85mm as that has IS. Be interesting to see how it copes.

    Anyway, 3 shots.

This one I was going to bin but for some daft reason I like it. I think it's the "no U turn" sign to the right

    Really great shots I'm inspired.

Would this work for daytime shots too?

For any decent amount of time you're going to need an ND filter. Also at night you have lights as a "stand out" object. I wonder if at day time you're not going to just end up with one big blurry mess?

I have an nd grad filter, but I think you may be correct in the big blurry mess.

Just had a quick google and that seems the consensus. Seems like stacking may be abetter option for daytime.

Cheers guys . I've also contemplated doing this in the day. I have a ten stop Nd filter and with that I think there is the chance of something surreal. Doesn't cost much to give it a go so I'm going to try it at some point.

There's time lapse as well, going to try that.

    Same here, really inspiring photos!

I'm starting to look into buying a new camera now, only a bridge though as I'm not experienced enough to use an slr.

    Thanks to Rhinoz

    Cheers WoB.

I actually do have a Whisk, some wirewool (correct grade after some research) and a 9v battery. Just need to get out and give it a go without burning something or myself down

Cheers also Rhinoz. Fwiw, I had no experience when I got my first SLR
