not bothered with games for years but just watched the clip for Hatred after it was sent over

well to be honest, games like Grand Theft Auto have been out for years and we all get a kick of driving down this pavement and mowing over a hooker or 3, or blowing up cars with RPGS and killing civvies with sniper rifles ingame.

I can see how this game might "cross the line" with the easily offended, but most of us have already been playing games like this for years - its just done in a more subtle not so dark way.

Can't stand GTA and can't see the attraction in a virtual Psychotic experience. I DO enjoy games like Battlefield where tactics and cooperation and some stealth are required.

I'll probably play it for playing its sake. Seems like a dumb game of just run and gun/knife but I must admit, I'm rather liking the film noir feel to it.

Oh dear. I enjoy GTA as a game and all the 'activities' you can partake in, and I love the gore watching some scenes in Game of Thrones. But I have to draw the line somewhere and this might be it. It looks good visually and the game engine looks great, but it looks a real shame that the gameplay itself looks quite limited. An hour of GTA running people over, beating people senseless or blasting them away gets boring. Unless there's a brilliant story, missions and point to all that violence, then I will give it a pass

i believe its been given AO rating (adult only) and single format only (PC) from what read so far its the very dark side of the game it that makes it different to most Shootes and GTA's etc imo

i can imagine the American colleges and parents that have been involved in shootings going nuts on this one

well that makes gta look like mario, i can see why people have a problem with GTA since you can basically massacre pedestrians but the difference is its YOUR choice to play GTA that way, i cant think of any mission (there may be) where you have to kill innocent victims but this seems like the whole plot of Hatrid so i can see alot of people having a problem with it, doesnt appeal to me as a game
i can also see why its PC only, cant imagine Microsoft, Sony and definitely not Nintendo touching it with a barge pole

Age ratings won't have much of an affect on it getting into little Jimmy's hands. I know a teachers son who was allowed to play GTA at 6 years old. She thought it was ok as long as there was no volume after hearing some expletives. She was unaware of 90% of the content! Other parents will buy the game for their little darlings if they pester for it, which if this ever does reach the shelves it will be the must-have game!

I love games as much as the next guy, but call me an old fart, these games to me are de-sensitizing kids to violence and in the last 15-20 years noticed how kids are generally more disrespectful to elders.
swearing at a teacher in my day would result in the teacher kicking the shit out of me and then me been more worried about my dad finding out and getting worse.
yet these days I hear it most days in school and still grinds me that little is done, due to them knowing "touch me and your in trouble"
