    Advice Boiler Help

    Hey all need ur help

I have a potterton performa 24 combi boiler thats not working

Got someone coming out tomorrow evening but wondering if something simple i could do my self as got a 1yr old and place is freezing and no hot water

Power it on Green light fine.
Switch on heating or run the hot water it seems to click on as normal then about 5 secs later is cuts for a second or two then tries to fire up again
    No error lights

Done the normal steps reset power / increased the pressure / heating only / water only same fault.

Anything else i can try ??

Sounds similar to a fault I had with mine last year, pump had failed.

Take the cover off, feel the pump, any vibration from it? If not check to see if the pump spins freely. To do this there should be a silver screw in the middle of the pump body, remove this (&don't worry about a little water comming from it).then put a screwdriver inside and turn it.if it spins ok then it's probably the pump at fault.
TAR seems to be a decent bloke!

    Guy just away
    Pump running fine
    Fan running fine
Disconnected hoses from the flu, fan ran at full speed
So looks like the air intake sensor or the pcb he is going to check with his colleagues and get back to me tomorrow
