Boulder Dash Officially Released For Intellivision 30 Years Later
Despite seeing release on a wide range of systems, the highly-rated home computer classic Boulder Dash failed to make it onto the Intellivision console. To celebrate the game’s 30th anniversary, the original publisher has teamed up with homebrew developers to finally release the game on Intellivision.
This all new port developed by Scott Nudds is now available to order through Naber Hood Games for $70. Boulder Dash on the Intellivision features 16 scrolling caves and 4 bonus levels to traverse, along with everything else you know and love about the classic.
According to the press release sent to RetroCollect, only a small and limited print run of these cartridges will be made available. Coming bundled with a box, cartridge, manual, and two control pad overlays, this new release from First Star Software comes via the homebrew publishers Elektronite and Classic Game Publishers - one which will no doubt excite Intellivision collectors.
