can you alter frequency to match your graphix card. Forgot whats its called

    edit
    Vertical sync

Just a guess but probably not

Have you tried running the NVidia gaming experience and letting that scan for games and optimizing

ye done all that, the motherboard is a high end gaming board but it seems it could be the problem

have you tried using windows generic sound drivers, instead of the ones that came with the motherboard.

p.s. was that a racing line assist that I saw in the video clip? & are you having problems with the braking too

Do you only have the stuttering problem with driving games? Have you tried the latest realtek audio drivers? Have you thought about monitoring your system while you're playing the driving games,i.e., MSI afterburner - if the cpu is running @ 100% it will have a negative impact on the sound & fps

Try turning off all the in-game settings so its really basic - see if that helps and work your way up from there turning them on one at a time.

    What spec is your PSU?

EDIT - You could also run CPU-Z in the background and when it stutters, come out and check the stats to see if the CPU is bottlenecking at all.

I wouldn't say it is a driver issue at this stage as alot of your other games are fine. A dodgy sound driver would potentially show itself up whilst playing other games.

its got a corsair 850 modular PSu, it does it with wheel & 360 pad & keyboard, just had afterburner running when it happens & nothing change in afterburner all looked ok.
just played project cars and half way round a track it started going in slow mo with sound fine for about 1.5 seconds then the car seems to speed up back to full speed

    Afterburner eh?

Try uninstalling it- I just have the latest graphics drivers and nothing else.

Sometimes all those extra programs just get in the way. If you find the stuttering is still there, you can always re-install it. At least it's something else to rule out.

I've seen a few posts in the past where Afterburner caused some issues.
