Just caved in and ordered one, £72 delivered from ebay, I'll fire you a PM across now Mobileman, cheers,
Set mine up today. TBH adding the line was the worst bit it took forever and still isn't working right on the test one. I've flashed with Vix and set up that was okay and I do now know the box much better. I'm pretty pleased with what I've seen. May even have a go at dropping my main sly box! We'll see how it goes.
As it's an Enigma 2 box, does it support TSmedia? Looks like a handy little plugin for when I can't be bothered to turn the HTPC on!
Yep the image Mobile has provided has this and kodi.

If I was you I would flash the box straight away with the sucmnsee image and then go through the set up. Not sure which or why an unofficial Vix image is such a popular image over an official openatv image. But there is a lot of support for it. The blue skins look great I'm gonna trial a couple before I settle on one of them.
yep his image seems to be the popular one, think its less faffing tbh
fyi guys my box was shipped with the dodgy 3 pin plug that satzz has posted about, i was also reading the thread other day so check yours ASAP

I started with a Cloud iBox 2 (made by the guys making the Zgemma) and then moved over to the genuine Maxdigital XP1000 which has full native OpenVIX support. Build quality on the latter was light years ahead, although they're both still working a year later.
I've got to admit I'm tempted to try one of these with the twin tuners purely for use with the Plex addin as I usually watch the box remotely anyway and the twin tuners would be a right bonus.
One thing I would say is that the build quality on the Cloud Ibox PSUs was really poor and it bubbled up after a couple of weeks when I had to replace it with a genuine Dreambox one. Sounds like if these use the same I'd probably do the same again to play it safe. The figure of 8 cables are less than 2 quid off Amazon but it's the PSU I'd be worried about tbh if they're still the same power supplies.
Box arrived last week, managed to get it set up with sucmnsee yesterday, followed the instructions in the link from Mobileman and used this as a guide too - http://www.techkings.org/zgemma-star...mtpockets.html
It seems great so far, a definite step up from the F5S (keep an eye on the members market, lol!), very fast and stable, and the limited play I've had with some plugins bodes well for the future, thanks for all the replies!
If anyone has any other recommendations for must have plugins it would be much appreciated too.
One final question, if I go into 'Software Update', I've got 58 updated packages available, is it safe to update these or best to leave it as it is? Cheers.
I think you'll kill these if you do the online OpenVIX software update as they're clones.
You'd basically need to flash it from scratch if you did that otherwise it would hang at boot.

Just got and set up one of these, very impressed moving from a v5s. Set up with latest scumnsee image.
Only thing is kodi doesn't seem very usable on it as very slow loading through options, however as a configurable twin tuner box find it very good, think scumnsee's image has online off updates as standard
hi broona
I have one, ZGemma 2s had two weeks, I am running openatv 4.2 with rata channel list / and rats software updated its great little box
I press ok button, then bingo next it update list every channel like bt 16 channels great
I look out for you,
b.
does anyone have a reliable seller for these at the moment?
many thanks in advance
They're literally just releasing the new H2S and H2H which are faster dual core versions if you can wait mate. I bought a Miraclebox Premium Micro a couple of weeks back which has official OpenVix support and that was only £89 so not much more than the Zgemma!
