These are 2 Willy's 1:24th scale 1978 Beetles.
one new & one given the barn find look
i have lowered the barn find it the end, dropped about 1cm.
im really getting into this, its therapeutic

Yeah looks good, what is it you are putting on it for the rust effect.

Are you putting rock salt on it and then respraying it as that what looks like from the pic?

prep body with mixed brown paint to make the rust, i spray the parts i want rusty with water, then used rock salt & salt flake mixed as a mask it sticks to body, spray final colour then once dry remove salt with tooth brush and wash the loose off.
