    I never bother with extra warranty but i got applecare as a student offer on my macbook pro. The logicboard went with 2 weeks left on the warranty. £390 on the invoice so i am glad i did.

    Standard warranty is one year. The logic board went after almost 3 years, so without the applecare i would have been up shite creek.
