Greetings Everyone,

I'm new to the forum (don't worry, I have already introduced myself )
A friend of mine has a 2015 VW Golf GTI MK7 and wanted to have the odometer corrected.
I know its a very complicated vehicle and I was hoping to help him out but am not sure where to start.
I'm into electronics and am looking to get into this a bit as a hobby but don't have thousands to spend on tools. As of right now, I have an EEPROM programmer.
I was hoping it could be done without buying tools that cost thousands like the Smelecom which as of right now is the only tool I've found to do the new GTI.
Also was wondering what else stores the ODO in the vehicle besides the cluster? ECU? Keys? etc. and can they be corrected as well.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated!
