Default Show us your dirty hardware!...

I'll start off, a new pc that I installed less than 6 months ago, in an office, in a waste transfer site.

never took pics but I bet teajunkie would have had a lot too, some of the xboxs I used to get in were hanging inside, peoples homes must be awful. Had what smelt like bong water in one, cat fur and cat shit smell. I especially used to like the onse where some one had sat next to it and just chained smoked 60 fags every day for 3 years. EEWWWW.

the thing is that even the cleanest homes can make this happen, Since laminate flooring came in it seems to be that it makes it worse, at least carpets hold the dust, with laminate the dust just sits there to
be sucked up by any PC/Laptop.
i have one customer, her house is soo clean but its all wooden floors & marble floors, a cleaner in every other day, still have to clean her pc once a year and full of dust.

That lot is nothing. I used to look after IT kit that often was in use at building sites. I remember one day I wasn't too impressed as a director of the firm "suggested" I should pay a visit to a site and clean up the PC's.

When I got there I actually thanked him for drawing the problem to my attention - the computers were so badly covered in dirt inside and out that I was amazed any of them still worked. Sorry never thought to take pics, but I remember finds balls of dust the size of tennis balls inside those PC's.

I had a PC in once that had the rotting corpse of a mouse wedged between the case and the modem. Again, didn't take pictures, but needless to say, it stank and removing it made me heave.

Stolen from Google images, but his will give you some idea...
