Amazon Kindle 3 (Keyboard).

Hello fellow DF'ers.
I'm in bit of a bind with this and am hoping some kind soul on here could help me out.

I've been asked to replace a screen on a Kindle 3 as the ol' man sat on his! Doh.

He doesnt want to shell out for the newun as he's only really just got comfy with this one!

Has anyone got a faulty one thats sitting in a drawer somewhere without a cracked screen I could buy?
Alternatively, have you upgraded and left one gathering dust in a drawer?

Let me know what you want for it (cheap as possible) and I'l sort out some funds.

The one it is, is this one....

Would seriously appreciate it.

Funnily enough, I just bought a screen for one of these @ �21. Absolute doddle to fit if you fancy doing that. Took a couple of weeks to arrive from China though.

Just found a screen in the UK for �22. Looks like its the cheapest and best way to go.

Just preferred to see if any DF members had one knocking about first. Oh well.

Broke my screen on my Kindle 3G. Phoned Amazon and they sent me a new one.... Might want to try that route first. Their customer service is second to none. Done it twice now

Amazon no longer support the Kindle Keyboard. They offer 20% discount on an upgrade. But that's not really what the old man wants.

I loved my old 3G keyboard. Used it in Japan to get on the interwebz lots hehe

They refused my first attempt at warranty replacement but supervisor and mentioning that it's a common fault (dont say you sat on it) resulted in a new touch (know it's not the same but free...)

Shipping options not what I needed there so used a place called Consoles4u - rang them up and confirmed it'll be in the post tonight.
Bit more expensive but it'll be here this week which is what I need.

Take care putting the screws back in mate...... haha.
