Anyone have any experience here?
I have an S4 Mini, that I've had for 18 months, and I'm due an upgrade on my o2 contract in Jan I believe.
I can upgrade now, at a cost of £70 to "buy out" my remaining contract, should I wish to.
However, the S6 I want on the upgrade is only available with 2GB less data, and £15 more per month.
However, looking at Carphonewarehouse, I can approach them as a new customer, on o2, for 24 months, on the S6 for £6 less per month for the same deal. How does this work?
I presume I would pay the £70 fee to o2, and get a PAC code, and give that to CPW, or are o2 able to price match CPW to keep me on the contract? I've had the same contract with o2 for 12 years, so don't really want to terminate that, and join as a new customer.
Also it appears that buying the phone Sim Free and taking a Sim Only deal is no longer a decent option. The phone is circa £550 with £20pm for a decent tariff, putting it around £980 over the two years, compared to £864 on a contract deal!!
Any advice would be great.
Thanks
