I watched this last night, and that is exactly what I said - better than the Walking Dead
WD pisses me off regularly with boring episodes, all the way through, and then ridiculous cliffhangers at the end of seasons. They know they have a captive audience and blank cheques from AMC, and so I guess they think they are being clever with the show. But they aren't, it's just wank, and I can't stop watching it, and I hate them for it
This new show however had a superb amount of suspense, I won't spoil it for anyone, but I defy anyone to ever be bothered about the WD and Rick the Dick ever again after watching it

Agree, but you'll still have to give a flick about Rick the Dick, FTWD is only 6 episodes long
Found this really slow to get started and with the handsome male problematic teen a bit twilightish for me.
I think this is for people that prefer drama to full on horror.
Still, as a zombie fan and an apocalyptic fan I'm well pleased with having 3 shows to watch right now about zombies
What 3?
Fear walking dead
The strain
and...
I am missing one.
watched the first episode last night, thought it was actually pretty good, liked everyone in it pretty much and looking forward to seeing the rest of the season
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.
Just watched the second episode of FOTW, still seems like a childrens version of the original.
I think its a little early to tell but i'm liking it so far.
The parts where its people are realising something is wrong while other go about their business was very well done.
i'm sure the amount of gore will increase but too much of it can ruin a show. Its gonna take a while for it be as good as the original show but still miles ahead of a show like Z-Nation which has some of the worst dialog and acting i've seen in a show (Somehow its still watchable for the comedy value).
i did read somewhere that there are plans for a crossover with the original series. i'm hoping they leave this a while in order to get these characters established.
Just watched episode 3, it's really picking up now.
Just binge watched all six eps. I didn't think it was that bad after a very slow start, and once some of the characters started livening up.
The Walking Dead Lite to an extent. Interesting to see Kirkman decide that it's a killer virus now, after he'd said everyone is already infected and it doesn't matter how you die, you'll reanimate if the brain isn't damaged. Well, early on in the show the neighbour was seen coughing and spluttering, next news he's dead and zombieing about everywhere? So it's a virus that CAN kill people now? Pfft.
Anyway, thought it was OK, and it was good to see Kirkman's take on early pre-decaying walkers. Not sure where the second series is going to go. Surely that's just going to be a re-run of the early TWD shows but further up the coast?
:edit: forgot to mention the 'nod' to Dawn Of The Dead was a nice touch in the last ep
