ipod classic 120gb problem

ipod classic 120gb problem when downloading from pc to ipod it only lets me do 20gb then fails . does this sound like hard drive failure ???

or have i got a bug on it ??

If the failure occurs at (virtually) the exact same location, then the internal HDD is probably got a fault on it that the internal OS cannot compensate for. My only suggestion is to perform the 'Hail Mary Pass' routine, where you instruct the iPod to do a full factory clean startup through iTunes. Of course, the drawback is you will lose whatever exists on the iPod that is not archived on the PC/Mac. Best of luck.
