Profile Name Offensive to Microsoft

After installing windows 10, I decided to fix my profile name, which I had managed to mangle by having the first letter of pete lower case

Pete, it seems, is now offensive to Microsoft, and they will not allow me to have this as my profile name
Peter is perfectly acceptable, and pete was until the recent change

If I'd left it alone, that would have been fine maybe

Their response is that the list is constantly changing and if Pete is now on the list there is nothing they can do

WTF microsnot, I can't even use my own name. In which language is Pete offensive
A quick google shows them banning a guy for using his surname Gaywood in xboxlive

I'm currently constructing a list of truly offensive words for their list

After a very long a drawn out conversation with MS by email, their solution is for me to use another name

After I calmed down and emailed them to ask which other name I was supposed to use, I changed my MS account name.

This one didn't come up with a warning that it contained profanity and so I was happy, and I can only assume MS are happy too.

My new account name is, Kunty McKuntlips

I think you should request your DF name is changed to match.

Ask MS for the £60 to change your name by D-Poll if cant use your name ;-)
