I'm ready to chuck this $@&$! iPad out the window and allow the dog to water it heavily. It's bad enough that Apple does things in such a roundabout, awkward way, but the damned software is sooo picky about ebooks that I'm wasting as much time trying to get them to load as it does to read the thing! [sigh] Now that I've properly vented my spleen, here is the problem...
Trying to upload DRM-stripped epub’s from my Win-10 PC to an iPad, Gen 2 (v8.4.1). I can get the iTunes library (v12.1.2.27) to accept the epub. I can even get the epub in the queue for syncing. But when I sync the iPad, the ebook shows up *briefly* in the ibooks section of the iPad, then disappears. During subsequent sync ops, it sort of looks like iTunes doesn’t even attempt to load the ebooks. PDF files upload fine.
If there is a wink-wink-nudge-nudge, secret handshake, live chicken sacrifice sort of thing I need to do, Apple hasn’t made it clear. A number of Apple revisions back, I used to be able to simply drag-and-drop the ebook; not go through these weird alien gyrations. [sigh] Any ideas?
Cheers,
Jeff
