None that I've noticed so far. It's the last thing on my mind at the moment though if I'm honest.

Sounds pretty horrible that does. Hope you get something sorted soon. Good that some of the fluid is clearing, and ur discomfort is lessening.

    All the best.

I'm moving to the correct ward tonight and they have brought my kidney biopsy forward to tomorrow which I'm delighted about as I'm desperate to get things moving.

    Cheers everyone

Finally got my Kidney Biopsy on Wednesday. An hour of being poked and prodded with a 7" needle and they managed to harvest a whole 6 cells. They wanted 10 cells really but assure me 6 will be enough !

I will have to wait up to 6 weeks for the results but they started me on a high dosage of steroids straight away and think I should see some improvement within about 4 weeks. I still have about 2 - 2.5 stone of fluid to shift and I have 20 pills to take a day for various bits and bobs.

I was let out of the hospital on Thursday evening with 22 boxes of pills !

Friday night just gone was very uncomfortable but the last 2 nights have been better. I'm peeing loads in the morning (about 2.5 litres a morning) but there's still a way to go. For some reason the diuretics don't seem to work so well in the afternoons.

I'm doing great on the steroids so far, some report roid rage on them but I'm getting the opposite... a real sense of well being and I'm super super chilled on them. Very hard to describe but very pleasant !

Blood test at the end of this week and another the week after then I will meet again with my consultant on 20th September when hopefully my biopsy results are back.

Apparently though there is another risk Because my albumin level is so low apparently it can mean a higher risk of clotting etc so I'm also on blood thinners.

    Roll on 20th....

    cheers,

    malty
