Which wii to softmod

I want to get a wii for the little ones who are 5 and 3 and want to make sure I can softmod it.

Can they all be done or only up to a certain version ?

Any advice be great !

All are fine apart from the mini ones AFAIK.
Softmodding was supported on versions upto 4.3e so you will be fine.
Wiihacks has the best and most reliable guide.

Cool they are a few on gumtree local to me, at least I don't need to worry about firmware version.

Take a look on cash generator, often 15 to 20 quid delivered...
I'd stick with the white or black ones...
