As a web dev I would say if security is an issue. Don't touch wordpress.

A website for your caravan? What sort of stuff do you want to put on it? Wordpress is without a doubt the easiest option and well supported but does have it's security issues. Any off-the-shelf package will be like this - especially the more popular ones.

If it's a basic website you want then use a web editor like DreamWeaver - it is a bit more complex than using a WYSIWIG CMS like Wordpress but once you have a fiddle it's not that difficult to pick up.

If you just want a couple of relatively simple pages with text, a few images and a menu then you could use something like 'WYSIWYG Web Builder 10' which can be found in the usual places. They also have some decent 'Getting Started' tutorials here.
For a more serious approach there is Dreamweaver, but it is a steeper learning curve. If you plan on producing and maintaining more websites in the future then I would suggest using 'Coffeecup HTML Editor' which will go a long way in helping you to learn HTML5 and PHP. From personal experience I would avoid a CMS like Wordpress for the reasons I stated in this thread. (">
