Thoughts on Star Wars Battlefront

Looks great, the movement is great but not feeling too great about the shooting on it...
Sometimes I'm firing loads of shots into someone and they don't die yet one shot and I'm dead. Spawning is also a problem.

The walker assault is good but the Drop zone game map is daft, just seem to be running round in circles.

What are your thoughts?

looks great, great gfx but i think i would get board with it very quickly, i did with the 1st one,
i think i will stick with bf3 & bf4 & Arma 3 Exile

I agree with what's been said already. Graphically, it looks stunning. Movement is nice and fluid but yeah, I had the same problem. Fire a bunch of shots point blank into someones head and they survive yet I die.

On the Walker assault, our team got absolutely destroyed by one guy in a tie fighter. Whether you spawned in the spawn point or on a partner, within seconds you were dead. Whether he was using a hack or not, no idea but we could barely move a few steps without being killed. There needs to be a lot more to counter those bastards. I know it's only a preview and I would hope when the official Demo is released, there's a lot more capability to survive.

I think when the game is released final, I'll wait a good 3 months before considering it. Want to see what other game modes are like, what the general feedback is, and also what the server population is at that point. I'm glad I didn't waste money on BF: Hardline as that's pretty much Flatline. If the amount of players in SW:BF has dropped, I'll not waste my money.

im playing it tonight, as i thought, its ok but i think its a game i will play for a few rounds then leave it for a few weeks & go back & play for another few rounds
1 thing i did find, it loads to a server a lot faster than bf3/4

I got my arse handed to me but fucking hell, it looks stunning. Difficult to speculate about its longevity though based on a beta. You can't help but get excited when the music kicks in and you see the AT-ATs in the distance. It was pretty funny watching everyone leg it when Vader turned up.

I think I was under the mistaken impression that this was a third person game with missions, where you would get to swing light sabres. Didn't realise it was a FPS.

Gave it a go, but I overdosed on COD a few years back and so found it hard to enjoy, even if it is star wars. Don't think I'll buy it to be honest.

Not so bothered about the single player stuff, I am hoping the full game will have some truly immersive space battles.

Really wanted to like this more but got bored very quickly.
It's basically the same as Battlefront always was but now looks a lot better.

Give me a new Jedi Knight II any day over this.

You can switch to a third person view and there are some co-op missions too.
