Cloning Kodi / Firestick

Hey all ,

New to the XBMC / Kodi , just wondering if anyone of you have ever cloned a Kodi / Firestick USB device ?

My mate has had the kodi/stick for a few weeks now and I was thinking about getting one , but thought it be easier to chuck him a couple of quid and just clone the device he has .

Any help appreciated

I dont think that's at all possible it's not a usb stick as such.

I stand corrected, I've just seen an advert and it definately plugs into a usb port ! I've got a firestick and it's purely wireless, mini usb socket that plugs into a usb port for power only, I'm confused

you can clone a firestick setup with adbfire its quite time consuming on a slow internet connection
it would be easier to put a
wizard on the beast or blackbox both god builds and come setup for you

My Firestick TV plugs into a HDMI slot with only a mini USB to power it. You could clone everything that's on it but you'd need another Firestick to put it on?
Not sure where the USB is coming into play here.

Also not sure if we're talking about the same thing but I tweaked my build to just how I wanted it on the Firestick, rar'd it up on the Firestick, ftp'd into it from my tablet using ES Explorer's remote manager on the stick, nabbed the rar and extracted it into the Kodi folder on my tablet. Perfect working clone of the build and nicely backed up.

Cheers for the responses , also apologies for the slight confusion its a FirestickTV , so although looks like a small USB stick it does actually plug into the HDMI port of your TV etc as Zoots has stated.

More reading is required I think
