Some interesting links there. I find The Beast with its weekly updated builds no different from the previious builds, it's been like that for a while, maybe I'm missing something. Perhaps its time for a change?

Installed this last night, I had tried it before and it wasn't very good but it seems to have improved a lot since I last tried it so will leave it on and see if I like it, I do find The Beast very bloated although it's easy enough to remove stuff you have to do it every update.

Ccloud and IPTV stealth pro have both been brilliant for me watching channels live . very rarely does a channel not load

The last version of the beast had ares installed and I did use it and installed spinz.

It's not as geared towards the UK like the beast is, in the new build 1.4 on android he has an add on called nerds and noobs or similar which has options for loads of roms.

The app seems to be using his login details so not sure if he's left that in by mistake as it allows you to make your own custom builds.

There is a new build about that has all emulators and roms installed so I'll try that this week too.

Just an update for lestronics on his updates:

I was having the same issues with updates and I even struggled to install new on Windows PCs. I bought a fire stick to play with on Black Friday for £25 so not bad for a play about. Side loaded kodi OK, added the source, run the beast zip file and had the wizard installed. Went to run the installer and the same as the revo I got the error go to log message and it would not install.

reading about yesterday I found info on ISPs being the biggest pain in the backside on this. Last night I removed the parental controls and switched off the smart thing in BTs hub, clean install of kodi on the Mac, added the source and run. Wizard. Instantly it downloaded and worked flawlessly!

i flicked the tv onto the fire stick and ran the wizard again and hey presto, that is all done 1st time again flawlessly.


From this exercise I will recommend two things. A clean install and check your ISPs restrictions as BT seemed to be the biggest 'bump in the road' for me.

I've never seen a .apk file ever, only .apk for Kodi, someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's all done by a repo and then future updates with the inbuilt wizard !

use the ares wizard to install the new 123 movies addon as it seems better than genesis
