    Raspberry Pi Zero Details:

    • BCM2835 (same as Pi 1) but up-clocked to 1GHz, so 40% faster
    • 512MB of RAM
    • micro-SD Slot
    • mini-HDMI
    • micro-USB for data
    • micro-USB for power
    • unpopulated 40-pin GPIO connector (same pinout as A+/B+/2B)
    • Size is 65mmx30mmx5mm

    Essential Kit Details:

    • 4 x Rubber Feet (To protect your Raspberry Pi Zero)
    • 1 x MiniHDMI > HDMI adapter (to allow the use of standard HDMI cables)
    • 1 x MicroUSB > USB adapter (to allow the use of standard USB devices)

    I am going to say I doubt it.. I am thinking I will use this as a Door Bell or something similar powered off Solar Power. It is not going to run Subsonic very well which is what I use my 2 for.

    Mine has been Dispatched, did pop into WH Smiths however and no sign of the Mag.
    Couple of other 'Geeks' digging around the Pi magazines too... Geeks!

    I actually have a use for mine, well 2 if I can get another one when they come back in stock.

    Saw a couple of Doorbell projects. You hook one up to the Wireless door bell receiver and it then sends notifications to your phone and other Pi's in listening mode. They can then play an alert.

    This is for the Summer when we are in the garden. if we are hosting a BBQ and waiting for guests, it is ideal. Geeky, not really necessary but cool.

    Be aware that there is no on board NIC so you will need a wifi dongle. Cheap as chips tho

    I'm also thinking this is perfect for a mame machine, built into a joystick like one of the old Hori arcade sticks!

    obviously it's not going to do N64 or dream cast but should tackle most mame, Snes, mega drive stuff.

    Tried it a few times Det. Every time I checked out at lunchtime it was OOS so added the kit and let me checkout. 'kin stoopid site but now I've got one coming.
