Yes, it works on its own. I took the gf and her 2 kids and all came away wanting to watch it again and watch the other films. Their knowledge of star wars was very basic, main characters and relationships but that was it.

never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups!

You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

I share your view Mystical_2K, and for the 1st time in my life I went and saw it for a 2nd time. I think if someone asked me to go again with them, I wouldn't say no. Has that magic that I found watching A New Hope over and over as a 4-6 year old in the early-mid 80's. All the characters were bang on for me. Maybe Capt. Phasma could have had more of a part, or maybe will have.

Going to see it tomorrow; but can't decide if it's worth seeing in 3D or not.

    Advice?

Yeah I'd agree mate - there are a couple of scenes that work better in 3D so you might as well get the full effect

2D was still good but for once the 3D enhanced it a bit unlike a lot of films which do it for the sake of it!

I took the kids over xmas to see it in 3d and tbh there wasnt much in 3d that justified it in all honesty. Think its the usual lets add a couple of bits later on rather than plan it in upfront.
