There is no App store or SDK for Apple TV 3, this relies on using X-Code to make the Apple TV think you are testing an app on the new Apple TV

I put it on my iPhone 6s Plus the other week and ran into a few issues, took me a couple of hours to sort. And I kind of know what I'm doing! It'll be the NowTV Plex new member surge all over again

I got it working like this on my Ipad/Iphone no need for me to jailbreak any more.

What do people think of the ATV 4?

I'm currently running Kodi off of a firetv/stick which seems to be ok although occasionally crashing.

What do people think of the ATV 4?

I personally thing they dropped the ball with 2 aspects of this,

Firstly the thing should have an HDMI In port to feed your cable/satellite box through, similar to how the Xbox One does, this would keep the Apple TV as the main input and stop the need to change inputs all the time. Whilst this might not be a big deal to people like us, for the average joe its not something they want to have to do all the time. Which is why smart TV's have become so popular, no 2nd box, access the content at the touch of a button and no input changing. I know my missus hated having to change input to get ATV/Kodi box up, now our TV has Android built in and she can access Kodi all from the same remote, seamlessly, she is starting to use it more and more.

Secondly, its only 1080p! Why did Apple stick to this? 4K is becoming pretty mainstream now, and will only get bigger this year! With Apple having 4k+ displays in the majority of its products I'm very surprised they didn't go 4K for the new Apple TV. Again the lack of 4k is the main reason I don't have one yet!

Where are you finding the 4k streams SiE?

Have kodi installed on my Sony 4k TV and wouldn't mind testing 4K on it through Kodi

Seen a few on navi x. Have you got a device that will send 4K? I know the new fire TV box will but a stick can only do 1080p.

My TV is has Android as its OS, so have Kodi installed natively on the set. No external box.

I get 4K from Netflix, Amazon and YouTube via app, and VLC plays 4K files no problems, so Id imagine Kodi would do the same. Have a nightly build of 16 installed
