    Default Amiko A3 deal

How many took the Lavatronics xmas deal on the Amiko A3?

Got mine today and got it running with Oscam etc. Not a bad box but simply does not come close to a Xtrend et8000 or a Vu box.

Bought it for the bedroom so for £50 it is a decent punt.

Don't think i would pay £99 for it though.

Well after playing with mine for 24 hours I am going to return my box.
Audio lag via Oscam is the main reason. A quick google found many people in the same position.

Picture was quite harsh on SD feeds too.

Kodi ran fine but it's low specced to keep as a Kodi only box.

If only the audio delay was fixed it would be fine to be honest.

I got myself a Vigica C90s a good while ago - I suppose similar kind of sat/android combo-box. That too had audio lag, especially on BT Sport HD channels, I found. Recommended solution found disabling the HDMI audio passthrough helped on the
    Vigica.
    Maybe might help?

    Indeed

They are threatning re stock fee blah blah blah. The box sometimes crashes as OSCAM is as wobbly as a three legged table.

Yeah. I suppose at this price/tech level you're not going to get a system that can handle heavy decoding of the streams as well as running on top of an android system running all manner of things in the background.

Surely a re-stock fee should apply only if the goods are fit for purpose? If the damn thing can't keep up then that's not as advertised and therefore you should get a full refund IMO.

Paypal claim it is then. And send them back an empty box via courier = proof of delivery.

I was going to get one but decided against it as the fear of 'Jack of all trades master of none' sprung to mind, I did see peeps writing about the issue your mentioning but they seemed to think it was a minor audio issue that happens now and again, apparently you hit the home key then the back key and it's fixed.

Not sure how long it is between the now and again though.

I have been playing more with it. Worth the £55? Yes. Used as the main sat box in a house? Hell no.Used as a bedroom box or a second box then at half price then yes. I am lucky i knew how to use Oscam and set it all up.

Picture on SD is soooo harsh though.

Order from Lavatronics again? feck no!

2 Thanks given to Bobby Bouché
