    Wanted USB Wired mouse

Just looking for a full size wired USB mouse. I kill these on an annual basis because of the wired connection but still prefer them.

Don't want to cause more waste by buying a new one so if anyone has one kicking about I'd much prefer to go that route.

Not looking for anything special, a cheapo one will be fine.

Threw mine out when I switched over from steam to electricity to power my computers. Had a quick look because I thought I may have one still lying around but haven't I'm afraid. Most wireless mice these days are plug and play with no drivers needed so work just like a wired mouse but without the hassle of a cable. Have had a couple of wireless mice in the past where the cursor jumped around and was unstable. Because I need stability for computer graphics I almost went back to using wired mice at the time but not experienced that problem for the last three or so years since using plug and play mice which are very stable and accurate.

Using the Active Energy batteries from Aldi I don't need to replace the batteries for over a year which works out at 50p. Would never want to go back to a wired mouse because my desk gets quite cluttered at times and the cable would get snagged on everything. If you prefer a wired mouse then I'm guessing your desk is clean and clutter free or maybe you have experienced the instability of the early wireless mice as I did? (">

    Thanks to BigBird

It's for my laptop, losing remotes is bad. Plus I'd still probably kill the USB connector.

You are more likely to kill the USB connector when using a wired mouse with a laptop. If using the laptop as a mobile device a wired mouse will usually need to be unplugged because the connector is usually too big to allow the laptop to fit into a close fitting case, and of course you have to fit the mouse into the same compartment as well. The receivers for today's wireless mice are so small you can usually leave them plugged in when fitting the laptop into a case and then place the mouse into the outer document compartment. That is what I do. I have never found the need to unplug the receiver on my laptop. (">
