Thanks, modded one a few months before christmas and have yet to find a game to download and try.
P.S Remember to burn at lowest speed and use decent DVD's e.g. I tried poundland ones and they work for about 10 minutes of playtime before saying can't read disc ;-)
Burn discs for wii? Do people still do that - I thought soft mod and hard drive changed that forever several years ago

I have hard drive and softmod, where do you get them from in that format?
Download in ISO format and there's quite a few converters that convert as they transfer onto the HDD - can't remember which one I used last - clean-upgraded to win 10 before chrimbo and only putting stuff back on my pc as and when I need it (not needed any wii stuff yet) I'll dig out the name in a bit
Edit - wbfsmanager was the program I used

You can play the .ISO files direct from external HDD using a "launcher" that supports External Drives. loads out there.
You used to have to convert .iso to .wbfs but not anymore. you can format drive as fat32 and directly play from .iso
Will have a look what the launcher I use is called next time I switch it on
Basically you load your homebrew channel then select the launcher you have just installed then choose external USB (as they usually default to DVD) then it lists all your games and away you go.
EDIT: Am now doubting myself about the direct playing of ISO's. Might have dreamt this. Will have to look at the external HDD to check though. In 2 minds now lol
So long ago since I filled my HDD up with games and not touched it since.

I believe some of the ISO files are over 4gb so won't go onto a fat32 drive - but like you it's been a few years since I needed to transfer anything

You're right so unless it now allows formatting to other than fat32 I officially dreamt it. Was convinced I didn't have to convert em last time.
i have used WBFSManager2.5 to format drive & use it to send iso to the flash drive
Buy the games , dude. Video games need nintendo ...
