Default Playing music from Laptop to soundbar by Bluetooth

    Hi all,

As title suggests, I have a Soundbar that I use for the TV, but it also has Bluetooth connectivity.

I'd like to play music (audio only) from my laptop to the Soundbar via Bluetooth. My laptop HAS bluetooth connectivity, but I'm unsure of how I can actually connect the two and play songs.

Should I be looking to open the BT function on the Laptop, pair with the soundbar, and then see if I can amend the Playback Devices on the laptop and see if the BT soundbar is an option?

Or would this require come specialist AV equipment to make the Laptop a BT Player?

If the soundbar has bluetooth conectivity then I don't see the problem, it'll connect just like a pair of headphones would when you pair with laptop ! once paired you would then have to change your laptop audio output and select the soundbar.

Maybe your laptop audio chip doesn't support the required playback, like A2DP or the soundbar? Wireless Bluetooth is now up to I think 4.1 I'm just thinking out aloud. Can you play audio from your iphone to the Sounbar if you can see it paired with iphone? if you can then it must be some compatibility problem and Laptop.
