    Default Frustrations with Kodi

I am getting frustrated with Kodi at the moment because I cannot catch anything to work properly for more than a day, every time i put on a build i may get 1 game stream smoothly but cannot get anything else, then after that its a constant issue with silence and the picture being very jerky. i try different builds, addons, deleting cache, try to alter settings. I have tried hard wired and wireless but i cannot get anything to work, i try upgrading to kodi 16.0 that doesnt help either. Is Virgin just being a bitch and blocking me trying to use Kodi? or is it something else i am missing.

I try to pick up the UK sports channels, the foreign channels, then individual streams of the games themselves but i have no clue how to fix this.

I'm on virgin and it works seamlessly over wire or wifi.

which box are you running, some of the cheaper ones can stutter a lot.

    Thanks to Mickey

ok it seems i am using my old box when i checked and have given away the newer one, this one is a dual core box the chipset is Dual Cortex A9 1.5ghz and by looking at that................i assume its very out dated and i should look at getting something newer and i saw Rap mention 2 types to look out for.

I've got an mxq which works fine but try to put a minimal build on it. Some of the fancier ones with too much installed make it grind to a halt

i always use lite builds usually pulse or wookie, sometimes spitfire

the full builds have too much dross on them that i'll never use

all the shit takes up too much time updating and ram

    sometimes less is more

The best thing you can do with the mxq box is to ditch android and stick openelec on it runs so much better

Turning off accelerators in video settings and restarting kodi also helps a lot if you're getting blocky/jerky football streams.

Couldnt be more of the same agreement.

A title of "frustrations with kodi" is painful to read when i new it would not be 0.1% to do with Kodi.

    Yet 3rd party stuff.

What the world knows kodi for. Isnt what kodi is.
