If your happy with win 7 then imho there's not much to be gained from upgrading to 10 - try upgrading for free from 7 if you want I believe MS were allowing dodgy copies to upgrade legitimately to 10

Won't upgrade from within Windows 7, it bombs out, tried it a few times now, so i was going to format and do a fresh install.

well hopefully Microsofts servers have your machine logged as a legitimate windows 10 machine since you did try the upgrade so you should be fine doing a complete install with a disc and it will still activate
what do you actually need? an ISO?

Yes an iso is what i'm looking for, i've found a few at various sites but i would prefer a copy that someone else has used and can verify.

I dunno if you can just do a fresh install. I thought you had to have a "licensed" copy of Win 7 (any version except enterprise), then you needed to update that to win 10, make sure it activates over the net, then your machine has a lifetime license for win 10 that will automatically be used for any future fresh installs

It's worth noting if you upgrade a home version you will get 10 home, if you update a professional/ultimate version then you get 10 pro.

BTW, I've setup a pc using Daz's loader and updated that to Win 10 and activated it without any problems.

No need to find ISO, download the media creation tool from MS website and that will download Win 10 and updates direct from MS - I normally use a USB stick but I think there is an ISO option as well.
