    My thoughts are that they will be the next big step in gaming, among other things.

    I have pre-ordered the PSVR as I already own a PS4 to hook it up to and do not want to spend £500+ on a PC-based headset + £90,000 on a PC that has enough power to run Oculus or Vive (OK, OK £280 for a R390 + £120 for an i5 but you get what I mean)

    Looking forward to it big time.

    Had an Oculus dk2 for the last 12 months. It's an awesome piece of kit that makes everybody who uses it for the first time jaw drop. Some of the games and immersion is breathtaking.

    Can you use the dk2 with all the release games mate as I can get one pretty cheap?

    Been fortunate enough to nab a Vive a couple of weeks back and it has been great fun. Just played Hover Junkers for the first time this evening and it was fantastic.

    Ha, I can relate to that. It can be used whilst sitting down just fine but to be honest, I haven't checked for specific in-chair experiences. I think there's some driving games and Elite Dangerous that would work fine like that.

    Personally view this generation of VR (not VR completely) as the next 3D.

    e.g.

    Wow that is fucking awesome.................. for about a month !

    I think it has amazing potential but I feel this round will fund the real VR.

    I've had my VR Box for a few days now.

    Here is my version: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...258538387.html

    Pro's

    * Enclosed & Dark
    * allows good audio to pass around
    * Neat design and cradle for the phone to fit.
    * straps are very strong
    * Adjustable eye lenses to perfect focus

    Con's

    * Heavier than I expected, with the phone can add some weight to the face
    * Due to the weight you need to tighten the straps, this cases the top half to really press on the orbital eye sockets and bridge of the nose, a bit more padding required
    *

    I think VR on the whole is a great experience and certainly through this VR Box for £13 or so it's well worth an upgrade from the cardboard. I need more games, apps and videos I feel.

    The VR Porn though, wow, immense.

    Love the photos in that listing - suggesting the real reason people do buy these things

    My cousin bought something similar from Amazon for £30. It's the same as Google Cardboard but made from plastic. Don't bother, they are shite. It's not the way VR should be experienced.
