As fanning says... Plus if it's icloud activated / locked you'll need that account and password too.

Ask the FBI. Might cost a bit though.

I can get into the phone using the DNS servers
have even tried Wondershare eraser in which I got to see it wiping the phone only the Icloud was not removed!

So would a jailbreak be possible?

Mate. iCloud can not be removed unless you know the password or can do a password reset from the Owners account. Your iPhone is just a shiny little brick unless you can fulfil said criteria.
Did you buy it cheap off someone thinking you were getting a good deal?

Go into the emergency, to see if there are any details of the owners next of kin, etc.

No, it'll still prompt for the iCloud account on first setup.

    Default clean install of IOS

iCloud removal can be done FOC by the owner with apple instore or online, had handset not been flashed then chance customer could have put a iCloud message on how send back or reward but can't now so it will stay at activation locked

It can be removed third party but not going into that , other than that it's worth its weight in parts and that's about it

Only thing its good for is spare and repairs. Sometimes with lost found iphones u can ask siri who owns the phone but this not always set up but siri needs to be active off course

Mate you can't. Simple as. I'll give you £200 to show me a foolproof way of removing iCloud without owners details. Please don't say putting into DFU and restoring will sort it either. Pm me if you don't want the world to know your secret
