    Default Ebay seller-incorect location

Is it against Ebay rules for a seller to claim they are UK based but are in fact based in a different country?

I recently bought an item from someone claiming to be based in Southampton but they have just let the cat out of the bag by stating

"I have no idea why it happen few times so far after the bank holiday the post office might have a delay as we send our items 1st class and it arrives 5 or 6 days latter in the UK and some time arrives in the next day ."

I asked him if he was based in the UK why would an item take 6 days to arrive in the UK if it is already here in the UK. Clearly they aren't being straight with me which pisses me off.

I'd have more luck finding Lord Lucan than finding Ebay customer services. They really don't make it easy.
I understand and accept that some people hold opinions that are different to my own. Living in a free and democratic society, I fully embrace and respect their right to be wrong.

I always limit my searches to items in the UK but sellers can be based in the UK with the product being shipped from outside the UK and it appears in these results. Ridiculous eBay let it happen.

If you just want UK senders, select 'click and collect' as a delivery type. That will filter out most if not all of the international sellers.

You can also look at estimated delivery time if it's too long don't buy
