You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

I'd sue both Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage, I bet neither of them have lost money as a result of the vote to leave the EU.

Shit position to be in. Looks like they were struggling anyway and the Brexit decision helped nudge them over.

On the MSE forum it does look like Santander are offering some support. It is possible the flights were paid for so you might be ok.. there's certainly a lot of people saying they've still for some of their holiday sorted.

I also see someone NOT the company have setup [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to try and help people.

How did you pay them? If you paid by credit card you'll be covered by section 75 protection and be able to claim it back.
Scum bags though, they were taking bookings and payments until the end.

If it's any consolation, I'm in a similar position with a builder who was doing our kitchen conversion and some other stuff around the house. Finished half the kitchen, done a crappy job and gone into liquidation.
We're about £10K down on the stuff he didn't start or to put right the crappy job his subbies did.
And the real kick in the bollocks is his brother has just started a "new" company with the same name.

I'd booked through them as well, flights have been paid for and are valid - confirmed with airline but hotel & transfer not paid so got to pay for the hotel when we get there. Trying on section 75, debit card chargeback and insurance - hopefully one of the fuckers will repay me

Stopping would just be declaring bankruptcy earlier, then they would still have been taking orders up until the end.

I can't believe so many people booked with a non-ATOL protected company. It's interesting to note that they were in the ATOL scheme until 2013.

Just read they moved their busness over to Spain, bunch of cuunts, makes the Atol certification obsolete. The only real way to get your money back is if you got a credit card and spent over £100 on it for the holiday which you would.

Some insurances don't cover this kind of loss so check when you get insurance

I agree and although I can see making this mistake on a normal family holiday I have seen reports on the news of people who paid tens of thousands of pounds to take wedding parties abroad etc what an expensive and stressful lesson to learn.

This was the 1 and only reason I got a credit card. I don't use it unless its for this kind of spend that covers me

I first looked at this company when I wanted to take the lil missus away. The place I looked at came up at 1k on lowcost, then I saw that it was per person.

I did a few more searchers with the same criteria i.e hotel flights etc and got it for £705 all inc to Portugal. That's well over half the price and that's for me and her to go with all the transfers and flights booked. We just need to pay for the bloody seats on Ryanair and the extortionate prices at LBA.

Right ok got some news on this its not great but a bit better than we could hope for.

paid in full using visa debit card (fucking cancer has stopped my ability to get any kind of credit) visa has a chargeback procedure regardless of the bank issuer apparently so we have applied for that and had the paperwork through today.

The flights are still valid payment was split and flights have been confirmed but we have to rebook hotel at today's rates which is now shot up by £250.

we are looking at £860 for the same hotel without breakfast and standard double room where we booked with breakfast and had the King double room with kitchen etc.

hotel company will not honour the original booking or will they touch the original price
so we are booking the hotel elsewhere out of principal Even though it will be a little more expensive.

so at worst we have lost out for hotel so hoping to get some money back.
And thank you to everyone for the comments.

    TJ

P.s. We have used LCH before when they were atol registered and we didn't realise they we no longer covered.
sad thing is this has happened to us before when travel city direct went under we
lost our Florida holiday but atol cover meant that first choice took over everything for us.
