Just got mine back from MOT which passed with the advisory that the strap is corroded and on inspection it defiantly needs replacing.
There around ten quid from the dealers and looks to be two nuts and off.
Just wondering if anyone else has done this before?
I'm assuming do it with an empty tank, prop up the tank on a block of wood (is this needed ?)
Both nuts and threads are rusted up, scrub with wire brush, loads of WD40 remove and replace?
Planning on doing this on the drive and not lifting the vehicle as both bolts seem to be accessible from rear and off side.
Is this the right way to do it ? Is there any need to do this on a ramp?
