    moan Signatures

Not electronic ones, written ones. They're fucking stupid. People don't do the same one every time and the people that are supposed to check aren't experts in handwriting. I think I was made to decide on one at age 13 for a bank account, since then mine has been recorded by all sorts of official organisations. I can't remember how I signed those documents. When I get deliveries I just scribble, what's the point?

I could be wrong, but my guess is that if a signature was disputed, an expert in handwriting could be called in to inspect signatures. I can't remember the exact details, but I think those kind of experts pick up on all sorts of patterns just for example, how much pressure you use and when.

The bit I find really daft in today's world:

Spend all day waiting at home for a parcel to arrive.
At about 19.00 you realise the parcel isn't coming today.
Check tracking website which says it has been delivered to "John Doe".
Next day call up courier to ask them where did the parcel actually get delivered to.
Courier tell me parcel has been delivered to it's destination.
I reply there is no person by the name of "John Doe" at this address.
Courier tells me parcel was delivered and signed for so they can't help me any further.

Ha - kids signatures with full names, exclamation marks or smileys 😊

I have two now - an official personal one and a business one. Makes no sense to use your personal one on business documents.
No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...

I agree. Sometimes when I quickly sign my name at the door on one of those digitiser pads that the delivery companies use I look at it and can see I've just made a scribble which isn't remotely like my usual signature. I would challenge the worlds best handwriting expert to claim that I had signed for that parcel, so what's the fucking point of having to wait in all day for a scribble that proves nowt. (">

You're quite right, it's a load of bollocks..

    BUT..

I could probably tell if I had written it or not...

But then who would believe me...So then what is the point afterall!!

It's obviously far more secure to have someone remember 4 numbers that no one could posibly watch you enter.

I don't know if this is sarcasm or not but it IS more secure.

I agree. Whenever I use those digital signature pads I always try and sign the most outrageous name I can think of and never have I been picked up on it. My typical one is usually 'El Cunto'

Last year I took a delivery and I was signing for it. The stylus just about started scrawling my name when the delivery driver snatched it away from me leaving a big line across the screen. I've had deliveries in the past where the driver has signed for it and dropped it off the following day and all sorts.
