Plex media server is dead that's why I went down the nice simple route of dedicated pc with kodibuntu installed. I don't have a problem setting up Kodi and configuring it to access the media files on my NAS. Plex server is there to stream the stuff from the NAS to the various phones/tablets/laptops in the house rather than give visitors direct access to the folders.

It's the piles of different add ons to stream stuff from the web that are confusing the hell out of me

I've spent ages going round and in circles getting more and more confused the more I read.

Is there an idiots guide or any pointers for what's best for me to install? (quite happy to pay for a sub once I know what I need)

Spent the entire afternoon trying wookie - what a pain in the arse and at the end of it all I've got is the ugliest themed monstrosity I've ever seen and a pile of menus with hundreds of feeds I dont need or want and the vast majority of them don't work throwing up error messages telling to to check that particular add ons log file.

It's also erased all the links to my local media and reset the watched/unwatched status so after I added the sources back I need to trawl through hundreds of series and episodes changing them.

Going for a few beers to de-stress then will spend tomorrow formatting it and going back to plain old kodibuntu

I still simply use fusion from tvaddons.ag with Live Mix and Phoenix. Everything else is just pointless and generally only works in the US.

If using android you can use 'Complete Kodi Setup Wizard' from Google play to install.

    Saves you the hassle.

I'm not using Android - it's on a dedicated kodibuntu machine and it installed ok - it's just a pile of poo imho too much crap and too many streams that just don't work will give fusion another go later today

    I was also wondering this?

Last season I think that we were spoilt with PLP, this season I'm noticing the games available through the various Kodi add-ons are lower in quality and still seem to buffer a lot more often.

    Thanks Satzzz......
I want to go with Bobo until i get my head round it
I'm just after something simple that the kids and the wife can watch on the main tv, after reading the thread again i'm still unsure
The Black Now Tv looks like a cheap option but Dejavu's comments on it playing havoc with the servers has put me off......
