Do you need a lot of storage and how fast do you want it to be? I don't even consider HDD anymore unless there are high data requirements and even then I suggest an external for storage as SSDs are so cheap now and the performance difference is night and day. Samsung 850 Evo is what I have in my PC and the 950 Pro NVMe in my laptop. The 750 Evo is essentially the same as the 850 but cheaper, just has less warranty.

have to agree with evilsatan, if you dont need tons of space then go for an SSD, you will never look back.
you can get a 120GB SSD from Amazon for £39.99 delivered, Kingston - used these in laptops, desktops, quiz machines etc. and they have been spot on
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

SSD all the way. Once you used an SSD, there is no going back. I got a Samsung 500GB from Amazon for £105inc a few months back for win10, if thats any help.
Bought a 240gb Kingston..what's the best way to install Windows10? Make two equal partitions?
Many thanks

Don't know about everyone else but I don't tend to use partitions any more but since Windows 7 they have made it easier to force users to locate their data on the second partition by linking the document folders etc. to folders not on the C drive so you could do as you see fit. I don't do it as I would just slave a drive and pull data if it needed it but if you'd rather have data separate so you can just reinstalll the OS then you could partition. Equal split is probably a good idea as it allows for the updates, winsxs, installed programs and appdata folders to grow over time or give the OS 100GB and the rest to data.
I'd same same as EvilSatan. Stick it all on one partition. With SSD there is no benefit to seperate data for speed improvements. Thnk the last time I partitioned a Windows drive was back in '97
