Old PC. Do I sell/break/scrap?
Morning all,
Having a clear out and found this old pc in a cupboard.
Pretty old now, but after people's opinions on what to do with it.

Athlon Barton 3200 cpu
Radeon X1950 512mb gfx
2gb pc3200
465gb hd
dvr-110 dvdrw
Was thinking boot fair for 20quid or just pull the hd and chuck the rest?

Someone might want it, but I'm not too sure.
I was in contact with a charity that sends items for children in a 3rd world country.
They happily took a load of old hard drives, but when I mentioned I knew someone who had about 10 x working P4 computers (freshly loaded with Win 7), they weren't interested at all.

Ive a cracking dell xps laptop here was £1400 brand new won't switch on power surge killed it . I brought it to one repair shop and forgot about it as i bought a new macbook . they had it 3 months went back to collect it and the guy tried to pull a fast one saying because i didn't collect it was threw out . The laptop was sitting in front of me the dozy twat . Im sure its worth a few bob weather to get it fixed or flog it as is. Saying that there is no good repair shops here in NI or it would have been repaired ages ago .

Flog it on your local facebook buy sell and swap sites nothing lost. if you have an hour or so spare dban the drive and reinstall the os and it will probably sell

Old tech can be worth more than you think.
there are lots of stuff still in use that need parts that have
long stoped being manufacture
thats why why ram takes a jump when they stop making it
