    Hi
I dont know the 5s gave me a semi, predictions on Jet black say it will be very very easy to get scratches on and finger prints will also be a nightmare, If I won lottery I think I would have the matt black one.

Are you going to take it out in front of the queue and smash it up with a sledgehammer?

If you're due an upgrade then fair enough. But it's really not that earth shattering. It's logical progression, that's all. Reservations only or artificial hype? I'd be tempted to walk into an Apple store on launch day and ask if I can buy one and see if there actually is any available in the back.

I'm not into iPhones but my wife and son are. I begrudgingly bought my wife a 6S last Christmas but on the plus side I got it from the CarPhoneWhoreHouse because I know the margins are slim > and they don't sell Spigen cases or screen protectors so there was no way that they were upselling me anything.

Truth be known I'm not that impressed with my Galaxy S7 Edge. The screen is a gimmick and although the OLED is nice, it's not amazing. The Korean version of the LG G3 that I bought a couple of years ago was far more impressive when I got it due to the spec and capabilities verses the alternatives at the time. And I've hung onto it purely because I'll probably end up selling the S7 and buying someone I really want when something gets my attention.

I don't care what anybody says about Steve Jobs, he did do a lot for smartphones. But since the early iPhones there isn't much innovation. Just a better camara, slightly better screen and a better spec.

....oh, and very generous of Apple to start the range at 32GB.

.........and bump up the price by £50 for the privilege. Or because 16GB doesn't leave you with much space nowadays and its a quickwin to bump up their profits because their loosing marketshare.

Did the same. Had the leather Apple one on my 6 and it has lasted nearly two years. It has had scrapes but still very usable.

The stock is updated every morning at around 6:45am so if you want to reserve one, best bet is to get up early and try to reserve then. This link is very handy to use to see whats in stock where, you can also customise the link to only show certain stores and certain size/modle by adding /?store=Rxxx,Rxxx&only=Plus for example (Rxxx is the store number)

From what i also hear, John Lewis will have stock available from 8am on Friday if you dont get one reserved

    Thanks

Good link that thanks. Seems there are plenty of most of the iPhone 7 available for reservation tomorrow but almost no 7+

    I'll check back tomorrow morning

I dont think so, there is no reservation system like this for the Watch. However you can order through the Store app or website and collect in store for Friday.

Stock is added daily, this morning i was able to reserve another phone (different colour and size) for pickup on Friday. However i don't think there have been any Black or Jet Black Pluses come back in stock at all!

My pre order of the matte black online has not moved at all shipping date wise, still showing 27-29th September. I ordered at 8:10am on Friday only because i couldn't see the reserve in store option at all. So it looks like im going to cancel that order and go for the 256gb Gold Plus i reserved at 8:30 the same morning for collection in store. Im currently phoneless and am back to work on Monday so i NEED a phone before then, £919 may seem like a lot (it is!!) but the way I do it is this, Last sunday I upgraded to a Galaxy S7 Edge 32GB for free on a £41 per month contract, I did this because i would never get an release day iPhone on anywhere near that monthly payment or for free (Think EE's cheapest is £59 per month and £90 for the phone!) I have sold the S7 Edge and my iPhone 6S Plus which has paid for the new phone with around £40 profit, £140 if i get a 128gb phone. I do this every year and it makes getting the new iPhone a LOT cheaper than going through the normal methods (I have the Mrs phone on another contract which is 1 year apart from mine)

OK I've resigned myself to not getting one Friday so will be trying Saturday morning with the reservation system. I'l not hold my breath for a 7+ though, they seem to be massively over subscribed at the moment.

Oh I thought it was apple that hadn't sent it. I've found o2 to be underhand since they demanded I get a credit check on a payg phone years ago that the clerk obviously wanted for himself (he made up the credit check when he realised it was the last one in stock) and also when they screwed up my xda2 contract automagically adding a year to the minimum term even though my printed paperwork said different. I never paid it and they never persued it. I'm not one to say never but I'll be surprised if o2 and I ever do business again.

Thanks to my darling kids I'm blacklisted from all the major networks so have to buy off contract. Costs a bloody fortune but I'm pretty good with my phones. Only broke 2 phones. One dropped in a pint (Nokia 3320) and one dropped on tiles which shattered it (3GS).

Quite happy with doing this really - easier to manage and if I don't have the money or need it for something else I'll go incoming calls only for a week Doesn't bother me in the slightest as I rarely make outbound calls.
